The Fermented Mind is an extension of multiple projects, some recent, some nearly 20 years old. I am your host, Jason Hunter. The Fermented Mind will take you on a journey through the bright hallways, steaming kettles and dark cellars of the world of beer, viewed through the bottom of my pint glass. I will also venture into a few other topics, such as whiskys and rums and the state of the industry…but it all comes back to beer.
Here is the format you can expect as we move The Fermented Mind forward. The links at the top of this page, especially The Fermented Mind and Barstool Friday will host new content each week. Most Wednesdays, The Fermented Mind will explore aspects of the World of Beer, touching on current issues and trends within the industry, brewing techniques, tall tales and anything else that strikes me. Most Fridays, Barstool Friday will look at a specific beer or beer style as well as the wide world of sports, arming you with just the information you need to make you a star when you step up to the bar over the weekend. These posts will be archived when new ones come up, so you’ll always be able to go back to them. You will also notice that we now have an Archive tab at the top of the page. The format of the Archive will be changing soon, but for the time being this should make reading new content easier.
Finally, this front page will serve as the swinging bar doors for the site. Content here will change periodically to keep you up to date on what might be coming up, but it will not be archived. And as mentioned elsewhere, I welcome your questions and thoughts on beer and brewing. Please email me at hunterthebrewer@gmail.com and I will be happy to reply.
